WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR STEEL BEARINGS?

HOW MUCH BETTER ARE THEY?
Depending on how things are measured, we feel comfortable saying that you will see an improvement in spin-down time of 20-25%, which now equal the performance of an un-coated ceramic bearing at roughly half the price. Everyday, we're telling customers that if you're on a fixed budget, you're ultimately better off with MicroBlue® steel bearings rather than ceramics.

WHAT ABOUT BEARING LIFE?
Nobody has ever told us they have ever worn out any of our bearings. That's not to say it hasn't happened, but rest assured that you can expect an increase in life many times that of a conventional bearing. The reason is that under load, surface contact is all but eliminated. So as we're fond of saying, "if you don't touch, you can't wear". Naturally, you will realize substantial decreases in operating temperatures.

WHAT ABOUT LUBRICANTS, DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT?
Not at all. Since MicroBlue actually improves the wetting properties of lubricants, it is compatible with all types, both petroleum and synthetic. Two important benefits you'll realize is that you can use less lubricant volume and you will have much more leeway as far as viscosity goes. The important thing to remember is that low friction comes from no contact, and the only thing you have keeping two  surfaces apart is viscosity.
